She said she wanted to “change things,” and that she needed to step back from the “celebrity bubble” to “have a new perspective on what to write and what to sing. Underwood stated that her album will contain a completely different material. She said that “she did not try to impress anyone with what she could do” and that she “does not have to sing to the moon in each of her songs” with this project. single “Good Girl” would be the most moved song of the album, and that the rest of the songs were more “dark” . The album combines the sounds of country with pop and rock.

Storyteller

Storyteller is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood, released worldwide on October 23, 2015 by Sony Music. After the release and success of her fourth album, Blown Away, in 2012, Underwood began working on the project in early 2014. However, she suspended much of the work due to her pregnancy in mid-2014. At that time, the label released the singer’s first album, Greatest Hits: Decade # 1 in December 2014, which was very successful. After giving birth to her first child, she returned to the studio in early 2015 to finalize the album.

The title of the album (“storyteller”) was inspired by the fact that many country songs tell stories as well as the singer’s own songs. Storyteller was described by Underwood as having a “lighter” air than his predecessor, Blown Away. In this album, Underwood worked with more producers than on his other albums – Mark Bright, Zach Crowell and Jay Joyce.

Acclaimed by critics, Storyteller became a commercial success, breaking several records in the musical charts. By making debut in the vice-leadership of the Billboard 200 album, he made Underwood the only country artist in history to debut all his first five studio albums in the first or second place on the chart; and when she made her debut in Top Country Albums, she made her the only artist to have six consecutive albums in 1st place. Storyteller was also successful worldwide, debuting in third place in Canada, fourth in Australia, sixth in Scotland, 13th in the UK, among other places.
